01 / THE PROBLEM

One person.
Several financial views.

Accounts, cards, loans, and currencies can leave someone piecing together their finances across separate statements. Nixpense brings those records into a single ledger.

The public product starts with a statement upload rather than a bank connection. It combines transaction categorization, currency reporting, and export in one place.

02 / MY RESPONSIBILITIES

Turning an idea into coordinated work.

Shape the work

I own the product idea and project management, including project documentation and delivery planning.

Connect the people

My contribution includes stakeholder management and coordinating work through Jira and Slack.

Manage the constraints

I manage budgeting, project risks, and resource planning as part of coordinating delivery.

This case study describes my project-management contribution. Product capabilities below describe the public product; they do not imply sole design or engineering ownership.

03 / THE PRODUCT JOURNEY

From a statement to a clearer view.

  1. Import

Upload a PDF statement without connecting a bank account.

  2. Review

Check categorized transactions and correct the rules when needed.

  3. Understand

View records in their original currencies or a combined reporting view.

  4. Take it with you

Export records, including original statement PDFs, when leaving the product.

04 / DELIVERY CONSIDERATIONS

Clear boundaries.
Visible trade-offs.

Statement imports need clear expectations

The public product accepts text-based PDF statements and explicitly excludes scanned pages and photos. That boundary makes input requirements and user guidance important parts of delivery.

Currency reporting needs traceability

Nixpense describes preserving native amounts alongside dated exchange rates. For coordination, this makes consistency between requirements, examples, and testing especially important.

Leaving is part of the experience

Export and account deletion are described in the public product. Completion needs to account for these end-of-use journeys as well as onboarding.

05 / WHERE IT STANDS

A live product.
A continuing responsibility.

Nixpense is live and described as free while in active development. Its public offering brings statement imports, transaction organization, currency reporting, and export together.

The practical takeaway: a product brief is stronger when it makes scope, responsibility, and the next decision visible. The resources below offer starting points for those conversations.
